The Veneto Region: the Vicenza goldsmith district

Veneto, and in particular the area that goes from Vicenza to Bassano del Grappa and Trissino, is one of the most famous industrial poles on the national scene, where a real production district has developed that houses the entire goldsmith chain.

The range of Vicenza’s goldsmithing production is very varied and includes leading companies in the production of machinery and technologies for the sector, goldsmith producers, semi-finished products and components for the creation of jewellery, contemporary jewellery brands that mainly use silver for their collections, manufacturers of fine jewellery up to specialists in the creation of packaging and visual merchandising solutions, even customized.

Companies belonging to the Vicenza gold district participate in Vicenzaoro to meet an international audience and expand their business. The District, in fact, boasts an image of a center of excellence in goldsmith production and in the processing of precious metals at an international level thanks to its ability to continuously innovate.

A very important role for the development and growth of the district is played by the consortia and trade associations which assist and support companies in their national and international expansion.

With nine sites, Veneto is second only to Lombardy for the number of assets included in the World Heritage List, and Vicenza in particular boasts the splendid loggias of the Basilica in Piazza dei Signori, the Teatro Olimpico and many other works consigned by Palladio to the city.
